LOST LULLABY

Adventure puzzle 3D

"LOST LULLABY" is a 3D puzzle adventure where you can experience the ascension of a child to heaven.

Thanks to your flute and your childish imagination, solve the puzzles that block you during your ascent across the  towers who can seem both anguishing and intriguing.
Follow the red-crowned crane who is guiding you, and unlock new melodies throughout your adventure to solve new and more complex puzzles.
Be curious, explore, and step by step, reach the top of the towers to understand who you are and what may have happened to you.

GAME DESIGN

​I have deigned a lot of features for this game, all detailed below : 

  • Designed the 3 main abilities of the character.

  • Designed the character controller with 2 other Game designers.

  • Designed the entirety of the camera system (Inspired by the first Resident Evil).

  • Produced design documents for all the mechanics I have designed.

  • Produced lists of VFX and Visuals needed in collaboration with the art team.

LEVEL DESIGN 

CONTEXT: At the start we were a team of 3 level designer on the project, but I have rapidly been the last level designer of the team due to some unforeseen during the production.

But I didn't Re-scope the project enough which led to an over-scope of the level design, which is a big mistake I will not make again. ​

Because of the scope i had to create too many puzzles which lead to the diminution of the quality of each of them and a lack of originality of some of them.

But, in the particular context of this production, I am satisfied of the result. All the work is detailed below:

  • Designed and blocked-out all the puzzles of the game (Interiors and  Exteriors).

  • Realised 2D plans of the entire map.

  • Managed the pacing (from tutorial to the endgame).

  • Blocked-out the entire game.

  • Worked with the art team in order to achieve a consistent level from both gameplay and visuals points of view.

  • Worked on the environmental storytelling with the art team.

  • Polished the levels and fixed the bugs after the playtests sessions.

  • Integrated and placed all the cameras in the level.

  • Integrated and placed the "guide" (Grue).
