My first "big" video game.

Live a quiet and relaxing experience through Orphée and his epic voyage to become the child of light.

​

During this voyage, use the gifts you receive from the "strings of light" thanks to your zither to explore the world, uncover its wonders, and tackle its challenges.

GAME DESIGN

We were two game designer on the project and as one of them I have: 

​​​

  • Designed and prototyped a first version of the controller.

  • Designed the main features of the games (The abilities of the character)

  • Designed all the features specific to the level design.

  • Designed the Game loop.

  • Produced design documents.

  • Balanced the game and mostly the controller in order to stick to the aerial and calm intentions.

LEVEL DESIGN

It was my first time as a level designer and I have done all the level design of this game from the concept, to create 2D plan and finally, the "blocking".​

​​

More precisely for this project I have : 

​

  • Produced intentions and design documents about the level structure.

  • Produced 2D plan for all the level.

  • Designed the 2 different zones of the game (outdoor and caves).

  • Designed a "flexible" level that could be played in different ways thanks to the two game modes (Day and Night).

  • Managed the cameras plans and placements.

  • Integrated all the checkpoints.

  • Managed the pacing of the level in order to create calm and aerial moment as well as challenging moment.

  • Worked with the art team to create some memorable contemplative moment.

  • Blocked-out all the level.

  • Playtested and polished the entire level.
